During Summer 2025, I interned at The Wall Street Journal. It’s where I got professional experience with short-form vertical video after self-teaching myself by managing my social accounts for years. My WSJ wins include:
- Growing our TikTok audience by 20,000 followers in my first month
- Pioneering influencer-style approaches to WSJ formats to better blend our content into the dynamic landscape of social media
- Reaching 1 million views and 5 million impressions on IG and LI, respectively, with videos I hosted on-camera
- Conducting street interviews to learn how community members feel about trends covered in WSJ articles
- Producing myself and others in the field and in-office for daily turn arounds while maintaining longer term projects
- Coaching journalists in the newsroom on best practices for short-form vertical videos related to their articles
- Functioning as a full-time host/producer with my impactful ideas and my team-fist approach, my manager said at the time
